WHAT'S MY DEAL?
In the past: I was born in central Wisconsin, I lived in suburban Iowa. I went to college (full time) and had a job (full time) and wrote and made art (part time).
In the present: I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I work (full time) and continue to write and make art (part time [unfortunately]).
In the future: I will live in different cities/countries. I hope to have a job (part time) if necessary and will continue to write and make art (full time if possible).
WHAT AM I DOING?
I'm currently working on a number of written pieces, including short fiction, long form poetry and other stuff too early in development to discuss now. I continue to develop artwork and design elements for various projects and am available for freelance work in both written and visual media.
WHAT AM I INTERESTED IN?
My work is often concerned with or influenced by one or more of the following in some way or another: TV, the 20th Century, the 21st Century, John Berryman, Franz Kafka, jokes, laughing, The Future, history, comic books, design, packaging, restaurants and dining out, Conan the Barbarian, monsters, music videos, books, maps, toys, "low" art, candid photos, Robocop, Shakespeare's Histories, mythology, language, Modernism, cartoons and cartooning, technology, chapbooks, zines, vikings, ceramics, printmaking, musicmaking, nighttime, posters/flyers.
WHAT IS ILLWILL?
ILLWILL is an ongoing body of work. Each ILLWILL project will have a unique catalogue number. There are common themes, formats and ideas that bind the ILLWILL projects but there is no concrete definition of what is and is not ILLWILL (please note, however, that ILLWILL is a brand, not an alias). See the table below for more specific information about the various ILLWILL projects.

In a broader sense, ILLWILL is a conversation, sometimes between me and myself, sometimes between me and you, sometimes between me, you and a third party. PLEASE NOTE: It is likely that all of this will change, as most things/almost nothing does.
WHAT ELSE HAVE I DONE?
I have done all of the art and design work for the Cedar Rapids, Iowa band Brian Jones, including album and web art. I've also done some other t-shirt, flyer and web design stuff for other Iowa-based bands. Much of this flyer art can be found at GigPosters.com. I have a handful of pages in READ zine issues 3 and 4. More information on that project can be found here. There may be other miscellaneous pieces out there somewhere that have escaped my notice/memory. Additionally, I've written a few music and movie reviews for the now-defunct IndieWorkshop.com which may still be accessible.
HOW CAN YOU FIND MY STUFF?
Currently, I have no products in stock as all items were produced to exact orders. Future items (i.e. chapbooks, t-shirts, prints, etc.) will be available (I hope) directly from this site. I'm currently seeking someone to help develop a webstore for this very issue. If you can help, please let me know!
